Access
Access to high-throughput genotyping is available by different mechanisms:
- JHU investigators can purchase genotyping as a service.
- Non-JHU clients (both academic and private sector), other than NIH intramural investigators, can also purchase genotyping but are subject to a 16% overhead.
- Both JHU and non-JHU clients may be eligible for FREE genotyping by either of two mechanisms:
- 13 institutes of the NIH offer FREE genotyping through the CIDR mechanism. CIDR also requires a written application whose details are available at the web site.
- NHLBI offers the Resequencing and Genotyping Service for investigators studying diseases of the heart, blood vessels, lung and blood as well as sleep disorders. Access requires an application submission. Details can be found at the RS&G website.
